Delta Dental Has the Bulk of New Mexico Retiree Health Care Authority Members
Delta Dental of New Mexico (DDNM) has been made aware of a postcard sent out by Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) Dental indicating they are the exclusive dental provider for the New Mexico Retiree Health Care Authority (NM-RHCA).
This is NOT ACCURATE.
Delta Dental of New Mexico covers 51,923 of NM-RHCA members through our networks – which as you know, are the largest in New Mexico with 90% of practicing physicians in the state with Delta Dental.
We understand this false message may confuse providers and members. Be assured – DDNM covers the vast majority of RHCA members and they can absolutely be treated with their Delta Dental benefits.
Delta Dental's Response
Because this mailer is not just inaccurate, but misleading, we have reported this incident to the Office of Superintendent of Insurance.
We have also contacted BCBS about this egregious misrepresentation and inaccuracy.
Our partners at NM-RCHA are also aware and were not notified prior to the mailer being sent.
